I love peas, they are one of my favorite things on Earth. My parents grew peas in their garden when I was growing up and the memories of eating fresh peas straight from the garden are some of my fondest. As I mentioned before though, I had no idea that peas are grown from a dried pea. I didn't think it could be so simple given that they are some of natures finest creations so once again, I had to experiment. And so I planted a single dried pea. Once again, I was shocked when a little seedling began to sprout and I am shocked at how fast it continues to grow.
So in my over excitable state I made my first big gardening mistake. I planted 18 seeds in a container 1" apart with only 1" between the rows. I figured the more the merrier. Not so as I've come to learn. It turns out, Peas should be in rows 24 " apart. Whoops. Even better, Peas don't like to be transplanted. But I took the risk and transplanted them anyway, so we'll see how that goes, I'll let you know. Until then, the first little pea I planted is growing like a weed and the transplants seem to be doing well too. So I've been placing all of them outside for an hour or so each day to start hardening them off. From what I gather Peas prefer colder growing temperatures. I'm going to remain wildly optimistic because let's face it, I've pretty much done everything wrong thus far and everything is growing. And with that, I can't wait to pluck a plump sweet pea off the vine and relish in the memories of my past.

Hi, it's a very great blog!
I could tell how much efforts you've taken on it.
Keep doing!
Thanks Olive Tree! I will certainly try to keep it up, just tell that to the plants ;)
